At first I was in a school but it was also a hotel. I could never make it to any of the activities and was often having to switch rooms where I actually didn't have an actual place to stay. There was also always a dog I had to consider as I was running around. Later I had a large inner tube at the beach I was going to float in. Before I could get to the water, a velociraptor stole my tube and was floating in the water. I went to go get it but then the water become really wavy. Then all of a sudden there was a huge wave, maybe 20+ feet. And it crashed down on me and put me so far below the surface I was struggling to make it back up. I was slowly letting air out of my lungs trying to make it up. I had the realization that I wasn't able to breath under water but somehow I was able to stay submerged and not die. I did make it to the surface before another giant wave came and crashed down on me. It pulled me under and into its swirl. Then I woke up.
This dream may represent feelings of being overwhelmed and out of control in certain areas of your life. The school/hotel setting could symbolize different aspects or roles you have to navigate and manage. However, the constant switching of rooms and lack of a proper place to stay suggest a sense of instability or uncertainty.
The presence of the dog may represent a responsibility or obligation that you are trying to handle while dealing with your own challenges. This could signify a need to take care of others or manage external demands while also trying to find your own footing.
The beach and the inflated inner tube represent moments of leisure and relaxation, perhaps symbolizing your desire for some respite from the chaos. The velociraptor stealing your tube suggests that unexpected challenges or external factors are thwarting your attempts to find peace and enjoy yourself.
The large wave and the struggle to resurface may indicate the overwhelming emotions or circumstances that you feel are pulling you under. The realization that you cannot breathe underwater but somehow survive could signify your ability to adapt and endure despite difficult situations. However, the repeated crashing waves indicate a persistent feeling of being overwhelmed and pulled further away from stability.
Overall, this dream suggests challenges, instability, and a struggle to find balance. It could be helpful to take a closer look at the areas of your life that may be causing stress or uncertainty, and consider seeking support or finding ways to regain a sense of control and stability.
